I need some help, Quick. I'm doing Photography 1 next year and I'm a active photo person for cars and nature. What would be the best SLR camera that's entry level, cheap, and is a good structure?
I wish there where entry level 4k cameras. I have a ultra wide monitor and I cant find any content that can fit the screen. Why? because there's no entry level cameras for 4k.
After doing some research and really dedicating myself to this new venture/hobby. I took The Wirecutter's recommendation on a mid-level DSLR and I really couldn't be happier. I had always wanted to take super sharp pictures and don't really mind the learning curve… Don't make the same mistake of buying a point and shoot and suffice with sub-par pictures. Get yourself a solid DSLR or mirrorless and never go back.
The one downside of a proper camera is the size… nothing here that has a decent lens is going into your pocket. So that means in hand or on strap. Guess it's awesome that everyone has a decent camera on their phone these days to fill that gap.
I am wondering why they did not discuss taking video with any of these. Did I miss it? Because that is a huge thing with DSLR these days, so why not take some time to discuss that? I believe Canon wipes the floor with Nikon in this department, especially when you consider magic latern
I need some help. I want a cheap DSLR for around no more than £300. I'm planning to use it mainly for car shows! The things I would like it to do: High resolution photos, good lighting and details on the cars, easy ways to change things like Aperture and shutter speed and focus and etc. Please can someone help? Thanks in advance!
Nikon D5200 was my first DSLR but after using it for 7/8 months I couldn't become comfortable with the device, then I switched to Canon 600D. I must admit 600D doesn't take great photos like D5200, but now I'm more comfortable with Canon interface plus Canon is really great for videos, where entry level Nikon DSLR sucks.
So I was thinking about gettinga D5500 for it's great video performance in addition to the photo abilities; is this a bit much for a beginner (going from my freaking Galaxy S4)? Now I know what ISO, F-stop, and depth of field is though. I'd honestly like to get a D750 but can't afford it.
A Sony A6000 doesn't cost about $2000 to the higher end (around 5 minutes). Unless you're talking about the A7, which is a completely different class of camera. It's $550-$700 with a kit lens.
I have a problem. I want to buy my first dslr and i can a afford a nikon d5200. The thing is that i found a canon 50 mm f1.8 from my mum's eos 1000. And now i dont know what to buy, if a 700d that is worse than the d5200 to use those old lenses, or swear about the lenses and buy the nikon. Can someone help me ?

8:55 am I the only one who noticed that noise. DISGUSTING EW
Only people who have never used a modern EVF put them down in favor of OVFs….
Damn these geeky Asians with fake accent.
Nikons are Great for taking pictures… But I prefer the Canon for taking photographs.
What about "bridge cameras"?
