Street snobs hate it when I tell them I take 99 percent of my street images from the comfort of my car….I use a 55-250 zoom lens….I never talk to my "subjects" have zero interest in doing so. I can travel miles and miles and find more interesting people by using the car…. I have over 4,000 street images on flickr….under the name of Bobby Angel
I don't know about street photographers in the rest of the world, but here in the US they seem to be all about photographing homeless people and being weirdly pretentious about it.
Dude you are so funny. Lmao I get your concept of just finding the love and passion for a shot and not so much of the rules to doing what you like and find interesting. I have a Minolta xtsi 35mm I was also into the whole street vibe as well but I hope I don't look like these smuts you mentioned in the video lol this Minolta is pretty old I don't have much room to have a complex shot. Should I just buy another camera ? Just need your help
I used to use just 50 because that's what HCB used. Until I started using other focal lengths and I realised that 50 is actually the best focal length ;)
Kai, I'd like to set you a challenge: see what you could do with the following set up for one day only (no other gear), Nikon D80, Nikkor 35mm 1.8, I'd like to see what you could come up with after going back to basics :)

Actually, I'll admit, I say most of this shit. Except for the Leica part.
