I've been playing with street photography for a decade and most of those points made still remain very true. The only thing I think I got down solid is the manual focus.
"The rifle [zoom 50-200mm af] is the first weapon you learn how to use, because it lets you keep your distance from the client. The closer you get to being a pro, the closer you can get to the client. The knife [8mm manual], for example, is the last thing you learn." – leon, from the movie the Professional.
lol. I've literally had all of these moments. But, that's how you learn. You have to figure out why there's a difference between your expectations and your outcomes, and then go from there.
The street photography guy Kim you have on the show is an ass. Half of his photos are people dodging him or surprised look when he thrust his camera in their face.
I enjoy the backdrop of England just as much as I did with the backdrop of Hong Kong. I find it rather ironic that a photography channel's comments don't seem to be interested in viewing different cultures?
Sign behind him at 1:59 'CATHEDRAL & TOMBLAND'? …well it's a change from 'Graveyard' I guess. Did the tourist board employ a Goth marketing team with a love of all things funereal? "Hey Kids! We are going to visit Great Uncle Alfie" – "Hurrah! we're going to Tombland!"
Dear DigitalRev TV, I don't know the reason why Kai looks like he has permanently moved to the UK and quiet frankly, it's really none of my business. I have subscribed to you now for a while and looked forward to Kai's witty commentary on all things photography. I didn't realise it until now but location really does play an important part in supplementing Kai's commentary and just making the video far more appealing to look at. I would like to point you to a video you did of the "Canon 11-24mm f/4L USM Hands-on Review". In my opinion, this is one of the greatest videos you have done. Not only was the lens interesting and Kai's commentary fantastic, I was completely enchanted and swept away by the little shops and the little hidden gems lurking all over Hong Kong. I'm not sure why I couldn't take my eyes off the screen when Kai was getting a haircut in that video. Maybe its the music in the background or the fact that I'm looking at a barbershop in Hong Kong. Maybe it's because the location is completely foreign to me and it's just fascinating to explore it with you guys. I'm not sure if I can articulate exactly why location plays such an important part in your videos but having viewed your newest ones, I can say without a doubt, that location is vital to supplement the brilliant commentary and to the overall feel of your video. It may not be the most important thing but a large part of what makes your videos interesting is Location Location Location. So more Hong Kong please?

Do Expectation vs. Reality "Film Photography."
I did a photography degree in Norwich, three years and not a single decent street photo.

reality sucks oh well
Lol, hopefully most people know more about their camera before trying street photography.
0:31 is that Kai outside Primark in Norwich? You've got to be lucky to find anything interesting there…
best laugh I had today, thanks.

Me
Doesn't get better since Alamby left.
For manual focus rangefinder cameras are better.
Norwich! My home city. Never expected you guys to end up there!
lmfao
Happy Holidays to All the teem……

HAHAHA truth!<3
DRTV better move to London quick. You don't move from a huge world city to a small provincial capital and expect similar excitement

No more intro video
well manual focus is THE MOST disturbing thing
